Answers to all your questions about the Just Right Travel Kit.

01

How do I seal the packets?'m a title. Click to edit me

The packets are easily sealed using a basic household iron, the kind you use for clothes, or a flat iron.  You simply fill the packet with enough product for one use and then place the packet either under a hot iron or between the plates of the flat iron and hold for about 10 seconds.  Wait about 10 more seconds for the packet to cool and that's it.

02

How will I know the packets are fully sealed?

You will be able to tell that the packets are sealed in 2 ways.  The first is that the end that has been sealed will look slightly different.  The second way is to simply squeeze the product inside the packet towards the sealed end and no product should come out.

03

What if I overfill the packet or some product drips on the part I am going to seal?

If you have over filled the packet, squeeze the excess product into another packet or back into the original container.  Wipe the outside of the packet if there is any product on the outside of the packet.  Seal the packet as normal.  You may notice a sizzling sound but in our tests this doesn't harm the packet or the heating element.  Just wipe any residue off your iron or flat iron after sealing the packet.

04

Is there anything I can't put in the packets?

Almost any type of liquid can be sealed in the packet.  We do not recommend filling packets with anything that needs to be sterile, such as contact solution or food type liquids.

06

How long can I keep the filled packets?

Filled packets are not meant to be a long term storage location.  Depending on the ingredients of the product the packets are filled with, the packets could start to break down after 3 to 6 months.  We recommend filling packets closer to your travel date  and using them within a week or 2.

07

What do I do with the packets once they are emptied?

Used packets can be thrown in the garbage or recycling.  Check with local recycling centers to determine if packets are recyclable in your area.

Can I take the packets in my carry-on?

TSA guidelines state at all liquids are to be in containers of 3 ounces or less and put into a 1 quart clear bag.  Our packets are labeled with the maximum capacity of 1/2 fluid ounce, which is well below the 3 ounce rule.  Our carrying case meets TSA guidelines.
